Prez administers oath to Virendra Kumar as Pro-tem speaker of 17th Lok Sabha

New Delhi, : Member of Parliament Virendra Kumar was sworn in as the Pro-tem speaker of Lok Sabha on Monday by President Ram Nath Kovind .
President Ram Nath Kovind administered Oath of Office to Dr Virendra Kumar as Pro-tem Speaker of the 17th Lok Sabha, at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Dr Kumar will administer the oath-taking of newly elected LS members on the first two days of the session.
He will be the Pro-tem Speaker till Wednesday on the day of the election of the new speaker of the 17th Lok Sabha.
The 65-year old BJP Member was elected from Tikamgarh in Madhya Pradesh.
The first session of the 17th Lok Sabha will be from June 17 to July 26.
