MoS Muraleedharan leaves for ‘Democracy Day’ function in Nigeria

New Delhi, :  Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan embarked on his first official visit to Nigeria to attend ‘Democracy Day’ celebrations in Abuja.
“Several meetings with the Ministers from African nations & engagement with Indian community in Abuja & Lagos also scheduled,” he said in a tweet on Monday evening.
In another missive he said the Ministry of External Affairs in India would continue to serve people by following the guidelines shown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former External Affairs Sushma Swaraj.
“My first tweet as MoS for External Affairs. Welcome to the world of diplomacy. We at team MEA India would continue to serve people and follow the guiding light shown by Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi ji and Sushma Swaraj ji to further India’s interest globally,” he wrote.
A former state President of BJP in Kerala, he is now a Rajyasabha MP from Maharashtra and also state in charge for Andhra Pradesh.
