Mumbai, : The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday gained further by 95.93 points to 39,448.60 after renewed buying in Energy, FMCG, Finance, Telecom and Consumer Durable stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 19 points to 11,847.25.
The sensex registered intra-day high and low at 39,571.73 and 39,328.26 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra-day high and low at 11,883.55 and 11,811.70 points respectively.
The sectoral indices like Energy, FMCG, Finance, Telecom and Consumer Durable kept the rally intact for another day today.
The gainers were Reliance Industries by 2.52 pc to Rs 1358.85, HDFC by 1.85 pc to Rs 2156.60, Sun Pharma by 1.82 pc to Rs 421.40, Bajaj Finance by 1.24 pc to rs 3449 and Hind Unilever by 0.72 pc to Rs 1785.35.
The losers were Tata Motors by 4.84 pc to Rs 180.80, Tata Motors DVR by 4.67 pc to Rs 84.65, IndusBak by 2.39 pc to Rs 1457 and Tata Steel by 1.58 pc to Rs 475.50.
