Sensex recovers by 65 pts

Mumbai, :  The BSE Sensex on Thursday recovered by 65 points to open at 37,179.13 as fresh buying was seen in Materials, Energy, IT, Consumer Durable and Utilities stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 12.25 points to 11,180.35.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 37,204.77 and 37,087.58 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 11,185.20 and 11,147 points respectively.
The gainers were Tata Motors by 2.86 pc to Rs 174.45, Tata Motors DVR by 2.35 pc to Rs 82.75, Powergrid by 1.76 pc to Rs 181.95 and Infosys by 1.42 pc to Rs 726.65.
The losers were Sun Pharma by 3.30 pc to Rs 396.55, Yes Bank by 1.88 pc to Rs 140.95, Bharti Airtel by 1.83 pc to Rs 324.95 and M & M by 1.57 pc to Rs 601.05.
