J&K Governor directs for fast track investigation in Bandipora rape case

Srinagar, :  Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik and his advisor Vijay Kumar have directed the special investigation team to complete the investigation of Bandipora rape case on fast track basis so that the culprit is brought to justice.
On Monday, the Governor directed the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and IG Police to personally monitor the investigation, an official spokesman said.
A separate inquiry has also been ordered to check veracity of the age of accused and ascertain the veracity of age certificate issued.
Mr Malik also requested the public to maintain peace and mutual brotherhood and assured them that the administration is taking each and every step for maintaining public order.
He said anybody having any grievance or any apprehension shall contact the Police Control Room or Divisional Commissioner Kashmir’s office.
The Governor has appealed to the people not to pay any heed to rumors and has said rumor mongers will be dealt strictly as per law.
