Sensex down by 259.33 pts

Mumbai, :  The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange remained under pressure on sixth straight session on Wednesday as it tumbled down by 259.33 points at 38,017.30 as heavy selling was seen
across-the-board.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too slipped by 83.60 points to 11,414.30.
The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 38,248.57 and 37,981.64 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra-day high and low at 11,479.10 and 11,408.30 points respectively.
The losers were VEDL by 2.26 pc to Rs 159.70, Reliance Industries by 1.90 pc to Rs 1319, Tata Motors DVR by 1.54 pc to Rs 89.80, Yes Bank by 1.40 pc to Rs 162.25 and ONGC by 1.34 pc to Rs 169.15.
The gainers were Powergrid by 0.91 pc to Rs 193.35, Coal India by 0.22 pc to Rs 249.75 and TCS by 0.13 pc to Rs 2153.10.
