Ramzan greetings extended to Muslims

Imphal, : Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has greeted the Muslims at the beginning of the holy month of Ramzan.
She said, “May the holy month of Ramzan bring love & harmony in our lives.”
Chief Minister N Biren Singh said in a message, “I extend my warm greetings to the people of Manipur, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramzan/Ramadan’.
‘The holy month Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and a great opportunity for all Muslims to purify their mind, body, heart and soul by fasting and praying to Almighty Allah. The act of fasting is a practice of perseverance and self-restraint which give strength to both body and mind. Let us imbibe Prophet Mohammed’s teachings of promoting peace and enduring happiness of humanity. I wish this holy month of Ramzan lessens all our burdens and lights up the darkness,’ he added.
Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president, Gaikhangam also wished the people of Manipur on the occasion of Ramadan.
United Committee Manipur (UCM), students’ bodies, political parties also extended Ramzan greetings.
