Life returns to normal in south Kashmir’s Bijbehara

Anantnag, :  Life returns to normal on Tuesday after remaining crippled for five days in parts of this south Kashmir district, where two Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militants were killed in an encounter with security forces on April 25.
Shops and business establishments are open and traffic was plying normally in Bijbehara and adjoining areas in Anantnag on Tuesday.
Educational institutions, tuition and coaching centres were also functioning normally. Work in government offices and banks was also normal.
However, additional security forces and state police personnel remained deployed to prevent any demonstration.
Two local militants of HM were killed by security forces in an encounter which ensued during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) Bagender Mohalla, Bijbehara on April 25.
