40 TMC MLAs ready to join once BJP wins polls : PM

Serampore,  :  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday claimed that 40 TMC MLAs are in touch with him, and ready to desert the party once the BJP wins the polls.
“Didi, on 23 May when the results will come, lotus will bloom everywhere and your MLAs will leave you. Even today, didi, 40 of your MLAs are in contact with me,” the Prime Minister remarked.
Mr Modi joined the ongoing BJP-TMC war of words over poll violence in West Bengal, saying TMC “goons” were not letting people vote.
Addressing a public rally here in Hooghly district, Mr Modi alleged, ” Goons of TMC are trying their hardest to stop people from voting, they are not letting BJP leaders campaign.”
” Opposition campaign revolves around abusing Modi. If you remove these abuses, nothing will be left. Earlier only Modi was abused, now even EVMs are,” he said.
“With handful of seats, ‘Didi’ you can’t reach Delhi. Delhi is far away,” he said.
“Didi (Mamata Banerjee) wants police to act as her private security agency in the West Bengal,” Mr Modi alleged.
