Sensex up by 95 pts

Mumbai, Apr 15 :  The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday gained by 95 points at 38,862.32 in opening trade as renewed buying in Energy, Finance, and Oil and Gas and Industrials stocks.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too moved up by 26.50 points to 11,669.95.

The sensex registered intra-day high and low at 38,898.41 and 38,780.08 points, respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra-day high and low at 11,679.95 and 11,648.25 points, respectively.

The gainers were Tata Motors by 4.40 pc to Rs 225.35, Tata Motors DVR by 3.96 pc to Rs 107.60, TCS by 3.02 pc to Rs 2074.65 and Coal India by 2.79 pc to Rs 246.50.

The losers were Infosys by 3.36 pc to Rs 722.70, Sun Pharma by 1.08 pc to Rs 459.30, Bharti Airtel by 0.75 pc to Rs 339 and ONGC by 0.44 pc to Rs 157.10.
