Rafale deal verdict: PM should apologise and Defence Minister resign: Mayawati

Lucknow, Apr 10 : Welcoming Supreme Court’s judgement to review the Rafale deal case, Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati on Wednesday demanded apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and resignation of Defence minister after
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Ms Mayawati tweeted,”PM Modi’s efforts to hide massive problems and corruption under the Rafale scheme in the name of national security have failed. .”
“BJP has been exposed. PM has spoken lies inside and outside the Parliament and he should seek apology and defence minister should resign in wake of the SC ruling,” she said.
The Supreme Court has dismissed preliminary objections by the government to consider documents “stolen” from the defence ministry as evidence in the Rafale fighter jet case.
