Pak ‘willing to allow visits’ to Balakot locations: Asks ‘service providers’ to provide data

New Delhi/Islamabad, Mar 28 : Pakistan has said Islamabad is “willing to allow visits” on request to the locations in and around Balakot where India has claimed to have destroyed terror camps.
The Pakistan government has also directed the ‘service providers’ for data including relevant details of activities and contacts of the GSM number provided by India with regard its findings on Pulwama terror attack.
Sharing information with the diplomatic community in Islamabad on ‘Pakistan’s initial findings on Indian paper related to Pulwama’, the Pakistan government has said while “54 detained individuals” are being investigated, no details linking them to Pulwama have been found so far.
“Similarly, the 22 pin locations shared by India have been examined. No such camps exist. Pakistan is willing to allow visits, on request, to these locations,” a Pakistan Foreign office statement said on Wednesday.
However, Pakistan has sought to give an impression that it has not yet said its final word on the Pulwama and would require “additional information and documents from India”.
The Pakistan government has said that Indian paper contains 91 pages and six parts out of which “only part 2 and 3 pertain to Pulwama’ and rest are generalised allegations.
“During the course of investigations, all aspects of the information provided by India have been thoroughly examined including the “confessional” video of Adil Dar, “claim” of responsibility for the attack, Whatsapp and Telegram numbers used to share videos and messages in support of Pulwama attack, list of 90 individuals suspected of belonging to a proscribed organization and 22 pin locations of alleged training camps,” the statement said.
“Service Providers have been requested for data including relevant details of activities and contacts of the GSM number provided by India. A request for assistance from Whatsapp has also been made to the US Government”.
Pakistan has also claimed that while 54 people detained are being investigated, “no details linking them to Pulwama have been found so far”.UNI
