Sensex down by 404.51 pts

Mumbai, Mar 25 : The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday heavily down by 404.51 points at 37,760.10 as selling was seen across the board amid negative Asian cues.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too eased by 117.95 points to 11,338.95.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 38,016.76 and 37,756.01 respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 11,395.65 and 11,334.05 points, respectively.

The losers were VEDL by 3.08 pc to Rs 168.60, Yes Bank by 2.30 pc to Rs 246.70, Tata Motors by 1.74 pc to Rs 172.35, Tata Steel by 1.71 pc to Rs 509.30 and HDFC by 1.68 pc to Rs 1951.

The gainers were NTPC by 1.75 pc to Rs 136.40, ONGC by 0.88 pc to Rs 153.90, Bharti Airtel by 0.45 pc to Rs 332.65 and Powergrid by 0.43 pc to Rs 199.35.
