India records 13,193 new COVID-19 cases, 81 deaths

New Delhi India on Friday recorded 13,193 fresh COVID-19 infections during the past 24 hours, pushing the country’s caseload to 1,09,63,394, while the death toll mounted to 1,56,111 with 81 more fatalities.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the active cases stand at 1,39,542. It is 1.27 per cent of the total caseload.
Of the fresh fatalities, 38 were from Maharashtra, 14 from Kerala and 10 from Punjab and 6 from Karnataka, 2 from Chhattisgarh and 6 from Tamil Nadu.
The past 24 hours, 10,896 people recovered from the deadly virus, taking the total recovery count to 1,06,67,741, which is 97.30 percent of the case tally. The fatality rate stood at 1.43 per cent. Kerala has reported the maximum number of single day recoveries with 5,193
