A number of agreements in pipeline between India and Madagascar

Anatavario, Ambassador Abhay Kumar today called on Prime Minister of Madagascar Christian Ntsay.
Both reviewed the progress in bilateral ties between India and Madagascar and discussed ways to further strengthen it.
Mr Kumar and Mr Ntsay explored the ways for further strengthening the ties between two countries. Attempt was made by them to explore new areas of cooperation.
Madagascar has a strong Indian diaspora from Gujarat who play a key role in the economy of this Indian Ocean Island. The Defence Minister of Madagascar had visited India earlier this month in the first week of February to attend the IOR Defence Ministers Conclave.
President Ramnath Kovind had visited Madagascar in March 2018 and a defence cooperation agreement was signed between the two countries.
