Bandipora Police solves burglary case, accused arrested; stolen property recovered

January 11:Police in Bandipora solved a burglary case and have arrested one accused person involved in the commission of crime. Stolen property has also been recovered.
Police Station Sumbal received a written complaint from one individual namely Mohmad Lateef Mir son of Ghulam Mohmad Mir resident of Trigam Sumbal stating therein that during the intervening night of 09/10 January 2020, some unknown burglars looted his Kiryana shop located in village Trigam.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 03/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Sumbal and investigation was set into motion.
During the course of investigation, officers zeroed in on a suspected person identified as Firdous Ahmad Mathanji son of Mohmad Subhan Mathanji resident of Ashtangoo Bandipora. During questioning, he confessed his involvement in the commission of crime and on his disclosure stolen property has also been recovered. He has been arrested and shifted to the Police Station where he remains in custody.
Community members have appreciated the efforts made by police for solving the burglary case. We assure community members that police have resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities.
