Today people of Ramban protested against PDD in Ramban District Under the leadership of Former National President NSUI and Congress leader Fairoz Khan. The public of Ramban gathered at Maitra Chowk and raising slogans PDD Hai Hai, PDD Murdabad, We want Justice, No electricity No Tariff. and marched towards DC office Ramban and submitted a memorandum to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha ji through DC Ramban. The DC Ramban also met the delegation of Protesting people and assured them that electricity issues which are in his hand will be solved asap.

While addressing the public Fairoz Khan said that the public of Ramban District is facing power crisis/ unscheduled power cuts and electricity woes continues unabated in district Ramban, while electricity tariff have been hiked arbitrarily by PDD. He added power cuts inevitably grown longer in the chilly winter, since the power deficiency in J&K doest not seems to improve, with the onset of winter, the unscheduled prolonged power cuts become an unwritten rule, not only in non metered areas but also in in metered areas as well.

No power scheduled is being followed on the ground and public of Ramban district is facing long and unscheduled power cuts much to the annoyance of the public. The public of both areas far flung areas and also cities and towns are without electricity for days and are compelled to arrange other form of illumination, since they are facing worst power crisis for months.

Students appearing in different exams are worst hit by the power crisis in Ramban, even a mobile is not being charged that amount low electricity supplied/ given to Ramban district and even bulbs used for illumination are difficult to find when there is power but the tariff gets increasing every month.

Fairoz Khan added that all areas of Ramban are suffering to name some i.e Maitra Govindpura, ballot, flati, Gandhri, pernot, Batti, Pogal, Kunda, Noora, Panchal, Tulihal, Maligam, Damasta, Sujmatna, Ukhral, Neel, Ramsu, Baliote, Rajgarh are worst hit, even at some place like Sujamtna A they have no electricity for months and in Noora for days. These were some examples to cite but all areas are suffering, even in 24 hours we are not getting electricity for few hours.
