Srinagar-Leh highway closed for traffic after fresh snowfall

Ganderbal: The 434-km Srinagar-Leh highway was closed for vehicular movement on Saturday due to fresh snowfall in Zojila.
According to the news agency KNO that on Saturday morning, the higher reaches of Kashmir including Drass received fresh snowfall.
An official said due to the fresh snowfall at Mani marg, Drass and Zojila, the authorities suspended the traffic movement on the highway as a precautionary measure.
As per local reports, a large number of vehicles are stranded in Sonamarg area after the road was thrown closed. (KNO)
