Burglars loot half a dozen shops in North Kashmir

Handwara, Nov 12, KNT: In a midnight incident of burglary, thieves looted half a dozen shops in Kralgund area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

The victim shopkeepers told KNT that shutters and locks of their shops were broken as they visited the market. “The burglars have decamped with cash and accessories,” they said alleging the thieves are on prowl in the area.

The burglars have stolen cash and accessories from the readymade garment, bakery, dry fruit and other shops. These shops belonged to Javid Iqbal, Ashiq Hussain, Tanvir Ahmed, Tahir Ahmed and others.

These shops are located in Kralgund Chowk of Langate.

A police official told KNT over phone that they have taken cognizance of the incident and set investigation into motion. (KNT)
