Police warn arrest of those ”inciting people on domicile law” in Kashmir

J&K police on Friday said it will arrest those trying to incite people on the new domicile law.
Vijay Kumar, IGP (Kashmir zone) said on Friday that there are certain elements who are trying to incite people on the new domicile law.
Kumar said these anti-social elements are using various social networking platforms to incite people on the domicile law.
He said to prevent such people from doing so, police has decided to arrest them. The duty to identify such people has been assigned to police cyber cell.
It must be mentioned that the new domicile laws brought into effect on Wednesday said all those living in J&K for the last 15 years, those serving in the central government services including IAS, IPS, etc who have lived here for 10 years and those children who have passed 10th or 12th exam from any school in J&K are eligible to be declared as domicile of the union territory.
The law also says all citizens of the country can apply for all government jobs in J&K except level four jobs which will be reserved exclusively for the domicile of J&K.
It must be mentioned that level four jobs include class 4 employees, police constables, laboratory bearers and assistants in addition to other equivalent posts carrying the same pay scale.
