COVID-19: 4 more Bandipora residents test positive

Srinagar, Mar 25 : Four more persons from Bandipora have tested positive taking the number of CORONAVIRUS cases to eight as four persons have already tested positive and one among them is recovering at SKIMS Soura.

Taking to micro blogging social networking site twitter, the J&K government’s spokesman and incumbent principal secretary planning and development department Rohit Kansal wrote, “#COVID19#JammuAndKashmir 4 more persons, all from Bandipora, tested positive today. Preliminary findings suggest they were close contacts of Srinagar patient who tested positive yesterday. All 5 reported to have participated together in religious event @diprjk.”

Pertinently three persons with a travel history of outside valley were tested positive yesterday.

On 18th of this month, a lady from Khanyar area was the first person from Kashmir who was tested positive for coronavirus.

Now the total number of positive cases in Kashmir has reached to 8 besides three from Jammu taking toll of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 11.

However officials have claimed that two persons from Jammu and one from Kashmir who were tested positive for coronavirus before few days have recovered.
