Section 144 imposed in Aurangabad until 31 March

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Mar 23 : In an order to stop the spread of coronavirus which has claimed six lives in the country so far, section 144 of CrPC was imposed across the urban parts of Aurangabad.
District Magistrate Uday Chaudhari on Sunday issued the orders to impose section 144 across the urban parts of Aurangabad, which came into effect from 05:30 hours on Monday morning till 31 March.
Since Monday morning, streets across the city wore deserted look as all kind of transport remained suspended.
On Sunday, people of the city observed Janata Curfew. In the wake of corona scare, all the events, ceremonies, cultural events, festivals, feasts, gatherings, sports events and all other competitions, etc had been cancelled in the city.
All private buses of Maharashtra State Transport Corporation, as well as private buses, except bus service in the city for emergency and other important works, will also not operate within these seven days.
All shops/services/establishments located in the above area will remain closed. All citizens shall be prohibited from gathering unnecessarily, all industries, establishments and factories operating in addition to all industrial areas in the district shall remain closed for the period.
Emergency services such as medical shops, hospitals, essential services, media, banks in the city will operate during the period.
Meanwhile, police have made adequate security arrangement across the city.
