One of the two injured PDP activists succumbed in SKIMS

Srinagar, : One of the two People Democratic Party’s (PDP) activist injured in a suspected militant attack on May 8 in Shopian district of south Kashmir succumbed early Thursday.
Two PDP activists Irfan Ahmad and Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat were shot at and critically wounded by suspected militants in a medical shop at Zainapora in Shopian on May 8. The injured were rushed to local hospital from where they were referred to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS).
Officials said Irfan Ahmad succumbed early this morning.
PDP president and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had in a tweet on May 8 condemned the ‘dastardly attack’ on PDP workers in Shopian. “My heart goes out to these two bravehearts & I pray for their speedy recover. Only barbarians would kill innocents & cause bloodshed during the holy month of Ramzan. Their warped version of Islam has no place in our society”, she said in a tweet.
