Alleged hate speeches by PM, Amit Shah: Decide by Monday, apex court directs poll panel

New Delhi, :  After hearing a petition filed by Indian National Congress MP, Sushmita Dev, the Supreme Court on Thursday asked the Election Commission of India to decide by May 6 the rest of the alleged hate speech complaints against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah.
The three-judge bench was headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi.
Ms Dev had moved the apex court seeking appropriate action against Mr Modi and Mr Shah for their alleged hate speeches at election rallies or campaigning.
