Rahul, Sonia, Manmohan, Priyanka, Sidhu among Cong star campaigners for Punjab

New Delhi,  : Congress president Rahul Gandhi, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, AICC General secretary in charge for Uttar Pradesh east Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Punjab chief minister Amarinder singh and Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu are among the star campaigners of the Congress in Punjab and Chandigarh, which are scheduled to go for Lok Sabha elections on May 19 in the last phase.
The names of the leaders, along with that of senior leaders Ahmed Patel, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni, K C Venugopal , Anand Sharma and Ashok Gehlot, figure in the list of 40 star campaigners submitted by the Congress to the Election commission.
The list also includes names of former Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat, former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh, former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and AICC spokesperson Manish Tewari.
The election to the 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab and to the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat are scheduled to be held on May 19 in the last phase of the election.
