RSS chief casts vote in Nagpur: PM urges citizens to vote in large numbers

New Delhi, Apr 11 :  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday urged citizens to exercise their franchise on the first day of polling for the general elections to Lok Sabha.
“2019 Lok Sabha elections commence today. I call upon all those whose constituencies are voting in the first phase today to turn out in record numbers and exercise their franchise,” Prime Minister tweeted.
“I specially urge young and first-time voters to vote in large numbers,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was one of the early voters in Nagpur on Thursday.
“One of the earliest to vote. For all to emulate,” tweeted BJP general secretary with a snap of Mr Bhagwat.
RSS chief Mr Bhagwat along with senior colleague Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi casts their votes at polling booth number 216 at NMC Bhauji Daptari School, Nagpur.
“Voting is our duty, everyone should vote”, said Mr Bhagwat.
On Wednesday, the RSS chief urged people to stay away from using NOTA option and said one should make choice from the available talent itself.
