Srinagar, Apr 5 : Clashes followed by fire broke in the Central Jail in the downtown Srinagar, where security forces had to use force to restore peace, official sources said on Friday.
They said there were clashes between inmates and security forces inside the jail late Thursday night.
Mobile internet has been suspended in most parts of the city to prevent rumours.
